Cookingbookclub 12 | Nigella’s recipes

As you can remember, this year we are cooking from #321sourcesofinspiration, the last one for this year being Nigella Lawson. Which Nigella just got a new TV show based on a new book called “Cook.Eat.Repeat.” I watched two episodes and had a lot of fun to see what disasters is cooking, omgosh. 😛 As for

Cookingbookclub 12

Well, the last book and the last episode of this year of #cookingbookclub will also be a site/ Instagram. 🙂 If we jumped from paper to online, let’s do this to the end. :)))) Greaaat, and whose site is it? To Nigella Lawson. 🙂 From the #321sourcesof inspiration, I chose Nigella, because she has thousands

Cookingbookclub 11

Well, I know you’re wondering to whom will belong the Youtube channel I’m proposing to you this month at #cookingbookclub. Did Claudia start vlogging? Come on people, how disastrous I am, do you want to have nightmares next month? 😛 From the #321sourcesofinspiration, from which we have already tried 3 sites offered by store chains

Cookingbookclub 10| Kaufland’s recipes

As you may remember, this year we are cooking from #321sourcesofinspiration, the fourth being Kaufland’s Recipes site. Tomatoes stuffed with couscous Well, you’ll have a lot of fun reading how I started making this recipe, only to find out that I don’t have the main ingredient… :))))) As the recipe says, it doesn’t take much,

Cookingbookclub 10

The proposal for our #cookingbookclub this month, in the #321sourcesofinspiration category, also comes from a corporate recipe site. Well, didn’t I tell you earlier this year that we’;; have 3 sites? 🙂 The fourth proposal is the Kaufland recipe site. Over 1800 different recipes, including gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian or vegan-free. Like last time, try new

Cookingbookclub 9 | recipes from communism

As you remember, this year we are cooking from #321sourcesofinspiration, the proposal of the month being to search the archives for communist books, that maybe a recipe catches our eye. From a 1962 salad book I found a recipe romantically titled “Vitamin Potato Salad.” At first I thought that as a dressing you pour some

Cookingbookclub 9

Well, this month #cookingbookclub is a surprise, even for me. 😀 In theory it was supposed to be a book from which to read and cook together, that maybe we got tired of so many sites… In practice, it was difficult to choose, because I wanted to increase the accessibility of the fan club. 🙂

Cookingbookclub 8| Mega Image’s recipes

As you remember this year we cook from # 321sourceofinspiration, the second being Mega Image’s Recipes. These people’ recipes are kind of broken. To my surprise. For instance, the picture, the list of ingredients and the description are 3 different things. Or the recipes are put in some dubious categories. So if you haven’t come

Cookingbookclub 8

Well, spring comes tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and with it a new proposal for our #cookingbookclub of this month. I hope you haven’t forgotten that this year we have the #321sourcesofinspiration for our disastrous cooking. 3 Romanian sites, 2 surprise books and 1 piece of Youtube channel. The second proposal is the Mega

Cookingbookclub 7 | Lidl’s recipes

As you can remember, this year we are cooking from #321sourcesofinspiration, the first being Lidl Kitchen. Check below some of the recipes tried by our gang. 🙂 Focaccia with cherry tomatoes – the recipe here – I replaced a quarter of the amount of flour with wholemeal flour. Banana and yogurt muffins – recipe here

Cookingbookclub 7

Welcome to 2020! I hope the pots, spoons and your hob are ready for a new season #disasterinthekitchen. 🙂 Don’t panic if you burn something, we all know that lightly burnt food is the best… plus you get the badges of honor of our extremely select club. 😛 This year we deviate a little from

Cookingbookclub 6 | Jamies’s recipes

The last book of the year to read & cook was Jamie Oliver’s Christmas Cookbook. And now, good news and bad news, which do you want first? 😀 The bad one, I knew it. :)) It says that those many recipes are still in the works, because everyone was busy, plus, maximum disaster !!!!, Chef

Cookingbookclub 6

The latest book this year to read & cook is Jamie Oliver’s Christmas Cookbook. Jamie wrote the perfect book, with seasonal recipes for all categories – carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, etc. All you have to do is go through it, choose your recipes for the seasonal menu, buy the ingredients and get to work. 🙂

Cookingbookclub 5 | recipes with veggies :)

This year’s number five book to read & cook was The Oh She Glows Cookbook, by Angela Liddon. Now, not that we would be slightly anti-vegan, but it was not the most successful book suggested at cookingbookclub. 🙂 Although, the explanations for Angela’s limited success with our gang are much simpler: the book ended up

Cookingbookclub 5

We have two more books and the year is over. 🙂 This year’s number five book to read & cook is The Oh She Glows Cookbook, by Angela Liddon. There is also a sequel to the book, if you are passionate about vegan recipes, you might like it. You can safely skip the introductory part

Cookingbookclub 4 | barbecue recipes

The last book was The Big Book of Backyard Cooking 250 Favorite Recipes for Enjoying the Great Outdoors. Lots of meat, salads, fruit tarts, yada-yada, read or do research on the internet for American recipes, because they are all about the same. 🙂 I decided to show you today some unhealthy, grilled, delicious ideas. 🙂

Cookingbookclub 4

The book number four to read & cook is The Big Book of Backyard Cooking 250 Favorite Recipes for Enjoying the Great Outdoors. I guess you’ll like it a loooooot. 😀 Because we upgrade from the classic grilled minced meat rolls with potato salad, eaten outdoor to many variants of burgers, salads and other stuff.

Special ep. – falafel with tzatziki

Falafel. With tzatziki. Episode 3. This round we have a book for my cooking level. That is a cooking book for children. The book is for children, not the cooking. So, listing the recipe, I took the recipe (also American, also in their quantities, but partially translated into my quantities) in my pocket and went

Special ep. – hummus with red peppers

It took me a lot to choose this month’s recipe, so that the summer came before me deciding, that’s why the good temperature outside have chosen for me, to bake peppers on the tiles on my terrace. Therefore the recipe: Humus with red peppers (baked on the tiles on the terrace)! It pairs with raw

Ep. 63 – feast with tortilla, salmon and…

Well, because obviously I didn’t get past the kindergarten age, no matter how hard I tried, I loved this month’s book. ❤ ❤ Which is why I cooked not one, not two, but three delicious recipes. 🙂 About a Sunday menu. Or for when your friends visit you and you want to impress them. Assuming

Cookingbookclub 3 | Children’s recipes

The third book proposed at the cookingbookclub in March / April was Ultimate Children’s Cookbook. I’m a big fan of colorful books (well, there is an explanation 🙂), with simple, nutritious and balanced recipes. What I liked about the book is that there are recipes that can be cooked by children or with children –

Cookingbookclub 3

And we came to book number 3 this year, to read & cook, which is Ultimate Children’s Cookbook. Well, the beginning of June is approaching, therefore it is a good time to rediscover the child in you (option 1) or to cook with your child (option 2). Of course there is also option 3, both

Special ep. – Ratatouille

So, my mouth watered at all the meats in this month’s cookbook, but I was afraid I’d go to the butcher’s and get a cleaver between my eyes if I start with: -Was this cattle fed on grass? -Yes, ma’am, is it possible? We feed only organic, eco, not sprinkled grass for export to our

Special ep. – potatoes salad

Episode 2. Carmen, list the recipe! So, the recipe. American and because of that, with American quantities. Meaning: 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, 1 tablespoon kosher salt, plus more to taste, 6 ounces thick-cut bacon, 1 cup Mayonnaise or store-bought mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, Freshly

Ep. 55 – beet and orange salad

Actually a garnish of 3 ingredients, but it became a salad due to my lack of inspiration. 🙂 Yes, sometimes it happens to me too… Beetroot, washed, cleaned and sliced, placed in a tray (I prefer on baking paper), greased with olive oil and spices (salt, pepper, thyme, etc.), put in the oven over medium

Cookingbookclub 2 | Bourdain’s recipes :)

The second book proposed at the cookingbookclub in March / April was Appetites: A Cookbook by Anthony Bourdain. I don’t know how you are, but every time I (re)read Bourdain I get incredibly hungry. :)) Problem number 2 is that I would cook all the recipes (but who else climbs the scales, whoooo ?: D),

Cookingbookclub 2

This year’s number two book to read & cook is Appetites: A Cookbook by Anthony Bourdain. I read it in its days, even though I wasn’t a Bourdain fan, and I liked it. Because it starts with questions like “what do normal people do?” and “what does a normal happy family mean?”, meaning what they

Special ep. with biscuits

Well, we have another special recipe from Reese’s book, Cheddar Biscuits, from Oana. 🙂 Many recipes in the book caught my eye, especially salads, but until the strawberries’ season, we make Cheddar Biscuits. 🙂 I also found this type of cheese in the grocery store, not exactly like the one described in the recipe, mine

Special ep. with fried chicken

Today – guest post – Carmen burns recipes in the kitchen. 🙂 Also from Reese’s book. 🙂 Aunt Reese, with her spoon, wrote a book about cooking. The only edible thing in the whole book is this. For me, that is. Okay, actually there’s another one, but I still don’t understand the concept of pecans.

Ep. 46 – Reese’s Chicken Pot Pie Casserole

Or as translated in Romanian, Reese’s chicken pie. 🙂 Reese’s Chicken Pot Pie Casserole is a pie with hash browns, vegetables, chicken and puff pastry. I chose it because I thought it to be nourishing and because I had never cooked anything like it. 🙂 In a pan greased with oil I put the layer

Cookingbookclub 1 | Reese’s recipes :)

The first book proposed to the cookingbookclub in January/ February was Whiskey in a Teacup: What Growing Up in the South Taught Me About Life, Love & Baking Biscuits by Reese Witherspoon. So, we have as follows, two Reese’s Chicken Pot Pie Casserole, one piece Cheddar biscuits, one piece Dorothea’s Brined-and-Battered Fried Chicken. All successful

Cookingbookclub 1

Well, this year I have a new challenge. For me and my friends. ❤ More precisely a cookingbookclub, which will combine, what else, reading and cooking with kitchen disasters. :)) In short, for a year we will read 6 books together and we will cook – I hope – interesting and appetizing things. In the
